Countdown to Christmas
Greenbank is organising its Countdown to Christmas, which is like a “reverse” Advent Calendar – you put something in rather than take something out. Donations of non-perishable food can be dropped at collection points round the parish.
Christian Aid Appeal
Each Advent and Christmas we invite cash donations to support the work of Christian Aid throughout the world.
Christmas Services and Events at Greenbank
Saturday 13th December 2pm–5pm : Creative Christmas Event for Primary School Children
All the usual festive fun, crafts, music, stories and more.
Sunday 14th December at 10.30am : Gift and Nativity Service
We dedicate the gifts given by members of the community for children of prisoners and others in need in Edinburgh, as we think of God’s gifts to us at Christmas – Jesus Christ. And then our Young Church gets creative to make this year’s nativity!
Sunday 14th December at 3pm : Afternoon Carol Service
Dementia Friendly, with festive refreshments afterwards.
Sunday 21st December at 10.30am : Lessons and Carols
A traditional Service of Scripture and song.
Wednesday 24th December at 4.30pm : Family Carol Service
Lots of fun carols and Christmas songs to sing.
Wednesday 24th December at 11.30pm : Watchnight Service
We gather to greet the Christ Child. Carol singing from 11.10am.
Thursday 25th December at 10.30am : Christmas Day Service
