
The final week of Lent is known as ‘Holy Week’. Holy Week services lead up to Easter Day, the formal start of the Easter season.
For many years Greenbank and Morningside Parish Churches have held joint Holy Week services, the venue alternating between the two churches.
In 2026 the venue is Greenbank Parish Church except on Easter Saturday. Here is the programme of services, as described in the Greenbank Easter card, sent to all households in the Greenbank Parish.

Everyone is welcome at any or all of the following opportunities for worship over this season.
Palm Sunday (29th March 2026)
10.30am: Morning Worship for Palm Sunday
at Greenbank Parish Church
Holy Week (30th March–4th April 2026)
Holy Week Services are held jointly with Morningside Parish Church,
and start at 7.30pm.
Services are in-person and livestreamed.
Maundy Thursday (2nd April 2026)
The Lord’s Supper at Greenbank Parish Church
Good Friday (3rd April 2026)
Readings and Music, with combined choirs at Greenbank Parish Church
Holy Saturday (4th April 2026)
Music and Readings at Morningside Parish Church
Easter Day (5th April 2026)
10.30am: All Age Easter celebration with children’s activities and Communion, at Greenbank Parish Church, followed by teas & coffees, then egg rolling in Braidburn Valley Park
