Families and Youth on Sunday

Our ministry to Youth @ Greenbank Church includes the following groups.

Volunteers are welcome: please let us know if you’d like to be involved and the age group you’re interested in. Please contact the Youth Coordinator with offers of help.

Crèche

Who: For Babies & Toddlers (0–5).

When: We meet every Sunday during the 10.30am service, including Communion Sundays.

What: Nursery and supervised play & crafts. Sleep is always an option.

How: Parents and carers may bring babies and young children to crèche at any time. A team of at least two PVG adult volunteers supervise, while parents & carers can enjoy the church service. Babies welcome to stay in church with parents if they prefer.

Young Church

Who: For pre-schoolers (3–5).

When: We meet every Sunday during the 10.30am service, including Communion Sundays.

What: Flexible programme with lots of crafts, toys, books, and story-based Bible lessons. Children’s book library.

How: Children come into church for the first part of the service and then go to Young Church. A team of adult volunteers supervise, and Youth Coordinator supports, while Mums & Dads can enjoy the church service. Biscuits & juice afterwards in the Church Hall.

Young Church 2

Who: For Primary School (5–11).

When: We meet every Sunday during the 10.30am service, including Communion Sundays.

What: Flexible programme with crafts, toys, books, and Bible lessons.

Lower Primary (5–7): Gentle learning, imagination, Bible truths.

Upper Primary (8–11): Confidence, friendship, deeper Bible engagement.

How: Children come into church for the first part of the service and then go to Young Church. A team of at least two PVG adult volunteers supervise, and Youth Coordinator supports, while parents & carers can enjoy the church service. Biscuits & juice afterwards in the Church Hall.

Teens @ Greenbank Church

Who: For Secondary School (11–18).

When: We are meeting according to the Young Peoples’ schedule.

What: Identity, belonging, leadership, and real-life faith. “Taking Jesus’ message seriously.”

Younger Teens (11–14): Christian identity, belonging, fun & faith.

Older Teens (15–18): Ownership of Christian faith, leadership, faith in real-life issues. Support & preparation for profession of faith, with communicants’ classes.

Volunteering: Teens support Young Church, during Holiday Club and Family Events, as well as serving the church with volunteering activities, including Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) volunteering on the Tech Team, Communication Team, Hospitality Team.
