Dementia Friendly Support

Greenbank is working towards becoming a church that is friendly for people living with dementia and their families and friends. As part of this aspiration four times per year Greenbank Church holds an Afternoon Service. The service is dementia friendly and a warm welcome is extended to all. The 40 minute service is held at 2pm and comprises familiar hymns, organ music and the sharing of Holy Communion. The service is livestreamed and recordings are available via Greenbank’s website. After the service everyone is invited for afternoon tea in the hall with home baking and live music. The afternoon is supported and facilitated by many members of the church congregation. The entire afternoon is joyful with a feeling of friendship and fellowship.
